Challenges
Creative Director and choreographer Kevin Maher approached to Jacker Digital to produce his virtual event. Kevin wanted to take advantage of his verified Instagram account with a large niche following made up of dancers, actors, and industry professionals. Kevin was hoping to put on a live workshop, The Smart Artist, featuring top industry professionals that could be accessed remotely by the guest.
One of the challenges that Kevin was facing was making sure that his main audience, 40K+ instagram followers, would see the information about the show and be able to have a clean system for buying tickets and getting useful information. He did not want people to DM, or Cashapp him for tickets. Although Kevin had a professional website, it had been primarily used as a portfolio and he did not have an active conversion funnel set up or email list to market the event to.
Solution
Jacker Digital worked with Kevin to develop The Smart Artist Workshop. By taking a fully integrated approach we were able to produce a successful event that increased several of the brand’s assets. A robust social media campaign was the backbone of the project, as most of the audience came from Kevin’s IG following. The social campaign included content creation for both paid and organic posting as well as sponsored ad management.
Jacker Digital was able to set up a landing page with checkout for the event on Kevin’s website that would provide information on the event and push users through a conversion flow. Users who purchased the event were entered into a series automation that provided them information about the event, invited them to a private discord, and offered a replay for download. The event was a success at creating revenue for Kevin and we were able to use this campaign to convert a portion of his followers to email subscribers to be targeted with future campaigns.
